Privacy
Your privacy
Weld Mesh Zone keeps this policy deliberately plain. It covers the little data this site touches, why we touch it, and the rights you have over it.
What we collect
The site itself stores no personal data. If you contact us by email or through the contact form, we receive what you chose to send — typically your name, your address for correspondence, and the content of your message.
What we do with it
Everything you send is used to deal with your enquiry and nothing else. No profiling, no automated decisions, no passing your address around.
Local storage
We run no trackers. One browser setting is saved locally — the fact that you dismissed our notice — and deleting it simply brings the notice back.
Third parties
We do not sell, rent or trade your information. It is disclosed only if the law obliges us to, and to no one else.
Storage periods
Correspondence is kept only as long as it is needed to handle your matter and any follow-up, after which it is deleted. Records we are legally required to keep are kept for the statutory period and no longer.
Your rights
Access, correction, deletion, and objection to any use — all of these are yours to request, free of charge. One message to info@weldmeshzone.com is enough.
Security
What little we hold is stored on access-controlled systems and is not accessible to anyone outside the business.
Questions
The data controller for this site is Weld Mesh Zone. Anything unclear in this policy — write to info@weldmeshzone.com and a person will answer.
Analytics
We use a standard, privacy-respecting analytics tool to see which articles are read and for how long. It reports aggregate numbers, not individual visitor profiles, and cannot identify you personally.
Newsletter
If you sign up for the "Follow us" form, your email address is used only to send new-issue notifications. Every message includes an unsubscribe link, and removal takes effect immediately.
Children
This site and its editorial content are directed at an adult readership. We do not knowingly collect information from children, and any such data brought to our attention will be deleted.
Policy history
This policy was last revised on the date shown at the top of the page. Earlier revisions are not published separately, but a summary of what changed is available on request.
How we handle corrections
If you tell us that something we hold about you is wrong, we check it against what you originally sent and correct it as soon as that check is done, usually within a few days rather than weeks. We do not ask you to justify why a correction is needed beyond confirming your identity.
International readers
Weld Mesh Zone is written from a Tokyo editorial perspective but read internationally. Wherever you write to us from, the same handling described in this policy applies; we do not treat enquiries differently based on where in the world they arrive from.
What happens if we ever change hands
Should the magazine ever be transferred to a new owner or restructured, any personal information we hold would transfer only under the same protections described here, and you would be notified on this page before that took effect.
Server logs
Like most web servers, ours keeps a short-lived technical log of requests — the page requested, the time, and the requesting IP address — purely for diagnosing errors and blocking abusive traffic. These logs are not cross-referenced with anything you send us by email, and they are rotated out automatically after a short retention window rather than kept indefinitely.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, tell us first so we can put it right directly. If you remain unsatisfied, you are entitled to raise the matter with the data protection authority in your own jurisdiction.
One more note
None of this is written to be clever or to bury anything in fine print — it is written so that a reader who actually reads it understands exactly what happens to the handful of details we ever hold.
